Kohima: District Congress Committee Mokokchung claims a recent mass resignation letter is a fraud. Officials launched a verification process as soon as the document surfaced in the district. They found the claims of a mass exodus hold no water.
The review of 61 signatures turned up major discrepancies. Fourteen names on the list are not registered members of the Indian National Congress. Another 10 signatures belong to people whose memberships remain unapproved by the party. Investigators spoke to 28 signatories who claimed they were misled. These individuals confirmed they did not know they were signing a resignation letter. They have since pledged their loyalty to the party.
DCC Mokokchung calls these dishonest tactics a direct violation of democratic principles. The committee declared the resignation claims were “materially undermined” by these findings. They want the public to ignore unofficial reports and stick to verified party channels. The group aims to keep serving the Mokokchung region with honesty and integrity.
