Kohima: The Cosmos Women Livelihoods and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. held its ninth Annual General Meeting and opened its new Federation Hut in Pfutsero on July 18. This was the first meeting held since the society registered under the Nagaland Cooperative Societies Act, 2017. The event drew local leadership and government officials.
Project Director and District Mission Manager Zhoi Lohe attended as the special guest. He urged the members to prioritize the community over personal gain. Lohe told the group: "Uphold humility, place community welfare above individual interests and continue serving members with dedication."
Kukhrunielu Khamo inaugurated the Federation Hut. The session began with an invocation by Neilhou-ü Mekru. Vehutalu Ritse chaired the first session. Committees presented activity reports for the 2025-26 fiscal year and outlined plans for 2026-27. These groups focused on social action, finance, monitoring, procurement, asset verification, and skills training.
Other officials at the event included BDO Vekhrolo Koza, Assistant Registrar Marlong Longkumer, and Assistant District Programme Manager Zhalie Puro. They praised the society for its development efforts and encouraged future collaboration. Krowaü Mero performed a special song. Puhulu Rose announced the newly elected office-bearers, who received a blessing from Pastor Wekulo K. Mero. Vetolu Mero offered a word of gratitude before Achü ü Koza gave the final benediction.
