Kohima: The Cosmos Women Livelihoods and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. gathered in Pfutsero on July 18 for its ninth Annual General Meeting. Officials used the event to open the new Federation Hut. Kukhrunielu Khamo performed the inauguration while Neilhou-u Mekru offered the invocation.
Special guest Zhoi Lohe, the Project Director and District Mission Manager for the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission at DRDA Phek, attended the meeting. He pushed the group to keep the community first. Lohe told the members: "Uphold humility, place community welfare above individual interests and continue serving members with dedication."
The meeting marked the first AGM since the society registered under the Nagaland Cooperative Societies Act, 2017. Other officials in attendance included Block Development Officer Vekhrolo Koza, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies Marlong Longkumer, and Assistant District Programme Manager Zhalie Puro. Koza praised the group for its work with local households.
The first session, chaired by Vehutalu Ritse, reviewed activity reports for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Committees presented action plans for 2026-27 regarding finance, asset verification, and skill promotion. Krowa-u Mero performed a special song to mark the occasion. The second session focused on approving annual plans before the Election Committee convenor Puhulu Rose inducted the new office-bearers. Pastor Wekulo K Mero closed the event with a blessing, and federation president Wepretso-u Kupa thanked stakeholders for their long-term support.
