Kohima: The NSCN-K (Niki) fired back at the ZUF (Jenchui) on November 5. They denied recent talk of a joint operation against their group in Southern Nagaland. The outfit labeled the accusations as imaginary, baseless, and unfounded. Their Ministry of Information and Publicity issued a sharp statement to clear the air.
The group wants answers. They challenged the ZUF (Jenchui) to explain the origin of these rumors. The NSCN-K (Niki) declared: "The reasons are best known to ZUF (Jenchui) as to why they have alleged about the fictitious joint operation." They suspect the claims might mask future nefarious intent.
The group promised a violent response. They vowed to retaliate tooth and nail without providing any quarters if the rumors persist. They accused their rivals of holding a myopic view of the region. The NSCN-K (Niki) claims it stays focused on a long-term strategy and broader political goals.
Unity remains a sticking point. While the faction supports the unity of their people, they refuse to sacrifice their core political aspirations for it. They concluded the statement by noting that while brotherly relations are welcome, they have no interest in dealing with groups that harbor evil and hidden agendas.
