Guwahati: The Dima Hasao Tour and Travel Committee confirmed the Jatinga Festival will run November 21 and 22, 2026. The event moves from its old home at Haiyam to a new site opposite the location near N. Leikul village. Officials hope the change draws bigger crowds. Workers have improved road connectivity to smooth out the travel experience for all visitors.
Bollywood singer Kunal Ganjawala headlines the first night on November 21. Madhubanti Bagchi and other acts take the stage on November 22. Organizers are adding a new beauty pageant called 'Wings of Jatinga' to the bill. They say the competition "aims to encourage and empower young women from the region."
Getting there remains a priority. Travelers coming from Guwahati can book a 35-minute flight to Silchar and drive 1.5 hours to the grounds. The Dima Hasao Autonomous Council will add bus services to haul fans to the site. The festival plans to showcase local culture alongside top-tier music performances.
