Agartala: Senior BJP and Tipra Motha leaders converged on New Delhi to iron out internal rifts. The coalition partners want to stabilize their partnership before the Village Committee elections. Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha arrived in the capital alongside BJP state president Abhishek Debroy. Party founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman leads the Tipra Motha delegation.

Relations soured during the recent TTAADC elections. Both parties ran independent campaigns. The move stoked tensions that have lingered since the vote. Now, both sides look toward the 2028 Assembly elections. The central BJP leadership wants a quick resolution. Most party officials favor unity to protect the alliance.

Opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhury isn't buying the drama. The CPI(M) state secretary claimed on August 6 that the parties have been secretly aligned since 2023. He challenged them to stop the political theater. Chaudhury stated, "BJP and Tipra Motha have been together since 2023. Sometimes their alliance comes out in the open, while at other times they try to hide it."

Chaudhury accused the partners of burning offices and attacking workers for show. He suggested the infighting is a gimmick to mislead voters. He demanded transparency. He argues the public deserves to know the true nature of the pact. Both parties now prepare to finalize their plans for the tribal council regions.
