Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha signaled a potential partnership with the Tipra Motha for the upcoming Village Council elections. He spoke to reporters on August 16 about the ongoing negotiations. The two parties are already formal allies. Saha wants to move past the political friction that occurred during the earlier TTAADC election.

Saha confirmed the BJP is actively pushing for a coalition. The door remains open. "Talks are on and I cannot say that it cannot happen," the Chief Minister said. He emphasized that his party stays committed to its partners unless they decide to walk away.

The leadership expects to hash out seat-sharing logistics and other election details in the coming days. The Chief Minister expressed optimism about the current progress. "There are high chances of an alliance in the Village Council election," he stated. Both sides now wait for these discussions to settle.
