Arunachal Pradesh Expands Power Grid with New Lines and Substation

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh is upgrading its power grid. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein confirmed the state has finished 90 of its 239 infrastructure projects. The work falls under a wide-reaching power program meant to modernize supply across the region.

The state recently energized three key components. These include the 33 KV Khonsa to Khonsa transmission line, the 33 KV Basar to Tirbin transmission line, and the 33 KV Basar substation. These additions aim to stabilize power transmission and distribution statewide.

Mein touted the success on social media. He called the commissioning a major milestone that would further strengthen power transmission and distribution across the state. The deputy chief minister, who manages both the Power and Hydropower departments, credited the progress to local engineers, executing agencies, and department staff. He maintains the government is committed to providing reliable electricity to every resident in Arunachal Pradesh.
