New Miao Substation Powers Up Arunachal Pradesh Districts

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein announced the successful charging of the 132/33 KV Miao Substation. This move stabilizes grid connectivity for Miao, Diyun, Kharsang, and nearby Changlang district locations. Power flows improve today.

Mein touted the facility as a major step toward consistent electricity. He stated, "The successful charging of the 132/33 KV Miao Substation marks an important milestone towards improving grid connectivity and ensuring reliable and quality power supply to Miao, Diyun, Kharsang and adjoining areas of Changlang district."

This station falls under the state’s Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening Transmission and Distribution. Officials aim to bolster economic growth through better infrastructure. The project currently involves 239 individual elements across the state. Crews have finished 96 of these so far.

Mein credited the win to teamwork. He noted the joint work of POWERGRID, the state Department of Power, district officials, and contractors. Everyone pitched in. Stronger power lines build a better foundation for development in Arunachal Pradesh.
