Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein told students to mix modern education with indigenous identity. He spoke Sunday at the Arun Pratibha Sammelan 3.0 Scholars Meet in Itanagar. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad hosted the event at HIM International School. Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona and adviser Chau Zingnu Namchoom also attended.

The state has transformed. Mein noted that better roads, railways, and the Donyi Polo Airport have fixed past connectivity gaps. He urged students to push for a prosperous state using entrepreneurship and tech. He wants them to avoid drugs and hold onto their traditional languages and values.

Mein pointed to vast potential in agriculture, tourism, and hydropower. He referenced the Prime Minister, stating that the North-East is the Ashta Lakshmi. He said, "Arunachal's youth had a role in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship and social responsibility."

The ABVP held a state-level test on July 4, 2026. Data shows 16,438 students from 208 schools participated. The meet hosted 200 top-ranking students from the junior and senior categories.
