Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein opened new buildings at Mahabodhi Lord Buddha College in Namsai. He performed the ceremony alongside Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom. The expansion provides six major additions to the campus infrastructure.

Students now have access to a college building extension, exhibition hall, conference hall, and a college library. The project also delivered a seminar hall and the Maitri Girls Home. These spaces support research, cultural activities, and general academic learning. They aim to improve the environment for youth throughout the district.

The Deputy Chief Minister praised the staff and students for their work. He noted that the institution blends academics with core values. "Mahabodhi Lord Buddha College holds special significance as an institution that seeks to combine quality education with the timeless values of knowledge, compassion, discipline and peace inspired by the teachings of Lord Buddha," he said. He expects the college to grow as a hub for holistic development.
