Itanagar: Science and Technology Minister Dasanglu Pul inspected the construction site of the new Science Centre and 10-metre Dome Digital Planetarium in Namsai. She walked the grounds with Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom. Work moves forward in phases. The project wraps up in March 2028.
Pul directed the Public Works Department to pick up the pace. She wants the building finished ahead of schedule without cutting corners on quality. The facility aims to spark curiosity among young learners across the state. It will house tools for space exploration and astronomy.
The center pushes students past standard classroom limits. It serves as a hub for new ideas in technology. Pul noted the impact on the local community. She said, "The facility will open new avenues for learning about science, astronomy and space exploration, particularly for students and young learners across Arunachal Pradesh." This site adds a major piece to the educational infrastructure of the region.

The project falls under the Ministry of Culture's Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science. Implementation rests with the National Council of Science Museums, while the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology acts as the state-level nodal agency.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, speaking during National Space Day 2026 celebrations at the same site, stressed that the state needs to lean harder on space-based tech for disaster response, farming, and managing natural resources. He noted that the state's rugged terrain and earthquake risk make tools like GIS and satellite sensing vital for long-term development and the state's push toward the Viksit Arunachal Pradesh goal.
