Itanagar: A new movement called Dream for United Arunachal is hitting the road to bridge tribal divides across the northeastern state. Led by chairman Dr. Gumjum Haider and secretary Suraj Tayam, the group launched its EK AUR DUA campaign in the West Kameng district. The initiative focuses on empathy, kindness, and solidarity to build a single platform for all tribal communities.

Kalaktang MLA Tseten Chombay hosted the delegation alongside various local leaders and administrative officials. The event drew representatives from groups including the Shergaon Village Council, Tenga Valley Council, All Monpa Students’ Union, and the Women Welfare Association. Chombay emphasized that the region depends on its diverse Monpa and Sherdukpen populations to thrive. He said sustained progress in Arunachal Pradesh required cooperation among communities, youth groups and local leadership, without discrimination based on tribal or regional identities.

The legislator pushed for transparent governance and urged officials to consult stakeholders before breaking ground on development projects. He told the youth to avoid regional friction and instead prioritize skill building and social engagement. The campaign focuses on border-village security and grassroots empowerment to bolster the state economy.

The delegation plans a massive statewide circuit. The first phase covers the western belt, reaching the Bugun, Sartang, Miji, Aka, Monpa, and Sherdukpen communities in Dirang, Tawang, Jang, Bomdila, Lumla, Shergaon, and Rupa. Future tours will hit Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi, Kamle, Daporijo, Aalo, Basar, Pasighat, Likabali, Namsai, Tezu, Hawai, Changlang, Longding, and Tirap.

Haider stated the movement ties directly into long-term goals for Viksit Bharat and Viksit Arunachal by 2047. The team plans to keep pushing for ecological protection and local conservation as they travel to every corner of the state.
