Agartala: Agartala Airport Police tracked down 28 missing mobile phones and handed them back to their owners on Saturday. The devices had vanished across Delhi, Bihar, and Rajasthan. Officers used scientific investigative methods and advanced tracking systems to locate the gadgets. The recovery highlights a shift toward high-tech police work.
A handover ceremony took place at the Airport Police Station. Owners arrived to reclaim their property, many having previously accepted the devices as gone for good. One recipient noted: "Getting back a lost phone is not just about recovering a gadget—it’s about reclaiming personal memories, data, and identity."
SDPO (NCC) Subrata Barman fronted the media to discuss the operation. He confirmed the department uses constant digital surveillance to pin down lost electronics. "This recovery of 28 mobile phones from different states is part of our ongoing efforts," Barman said. "We are committed to ensuring that citizens regain their property through systematic and scientific policing."
Airport Police Station In-Charge Shyamal Debnath oversaw the event with his staff. The crowd offered praise for the efficient operation. Officers confirmed they intend to keep using these tools to find more lost property.
