Guwahati: The group Fight Against Injustice of APSC wants heads to roll. They are targeting 74 officers from the 2013 APSC exam batch who still hold government posts despite a damning report. Manash Pratim Baruah claims these officers, mostly serving as Additional Deputy Commissioners or Additional Superintendents of Police, secured their jobs through fraud. He points to a June 22, 2024, report from ADGP Munna Prasad Gupta. This document supposedly details forged answer scripts, fake pages, and unauthorized score hikes.

The report claims all 74 suspects had 36 pages in their English answer scripts. Only 32 were allowed. Baruah says this proves systemic rigging. Previously, Dibrugarh Police arrested 39 candidates. Later, the Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma Inquiry Commission flagged another 34 officers. Baruah argues that of the 241 officers selected in 2013, fewer than 100 are legit. He alleges similar rot infected the 2014 exam batch.

The group demands the government explain its silence. They noted that after a February 2025 judicial commission report and a March 2026 Action Taken Report, these officers remain in power. "The continued service of officers facing questions over their recruitment reflected serious shortcomings in the government's response to the APSC scandal," Baruah stated. He alleges some suspects have deep ties to political leaders and top bureaucrats.

Questions also loom over missing evidence. Baruah says the SIT sent 1,403 answer scripts from 2013 and 1,080 from 2014 for forensics. The lab returned only 1,159 and 954 scripts, respectively. The group wants to know where the rest went. They are pushing for the total cancellation of all 2013 and 2014 APSC appointments. The list of 74 names includes Deepti Morang, Dinchengfa Baruah, Manjur Elahi Barbhuiya, Priyankujyoti Sharma, Bhaskarjyoti Rajbongshi, Boni Iman Shadab, Biraj Baruah, Nandita Hazarika, Sanghamitra Baruah, Kapinjal Kishor Sharma, Sanghamitra Bhagawati, Munmi Kalita, Kankan Sharma, Mrinal Bora, Tribib Roy, Yubaraj Borthakur, Jonti Deka, Antaripa Daimary, Vijita Deka, Dhrubajyoti Hatibaruah, Bistirna Baruah, Aditya Gogoi, Akashee Duwarah, Ramanuj Hazarika, Dipan Barman, Pranjalpratim Konwar, Abhijit Gogoi, Rakesh Deka, Raj Baruah, Sanjiv Kumar Phukan, Gitashree Lachit, Karapun Patir, Mandira Baruah, Bikram Chetri, Raktim Buragohain, Manika Bora, Barnali Deka, Mrinmoy Das, Jupi Bordoloi, Bibhas Das, Nilanjal Gogoi, Samiran Baishya, Nitumoni Das, Rajashree Dhanadiya, Rosy Talukdar, Bidyut Bikash Bhuyan Bora, Rumi Timungpi, Nirmali Bora, Vivek Agarwal, Pankaj Hazarika, Bipuljoy Deba Sarma, Dilip Gautam, Daisy Rehman Borlaskar, Dhrubajyoti Sharma, Gitartha Baruah, Dipanshu Dutta, Gitartha Deb Sarma, Chabanom Barman, Dorodi Derbroy, Ajitabh Barman, Abhijnyan Nath, Plabita Bordoloi, Pranjal Baruah, Rimjim Gogoi, Nandita Pegu, Mayurpankhi Bora, Niranjana Chaliha, Noirita Baruah, Punamjit Nath, Mira Karki, Arun Kumar Bora, Bhaskarjyoti Dutta, and Siddharth Krishna Saikia.
