Guwahati: Assam minister Ashok Singhal publicly distanced himself from a Personal Security Officer facing a formal complaint. A woman recently filed the grievance at the Paltan Bazar police outpost. Media reports initially linked the officer to the minister.

Singhal took to X to squash the rumors. He stated the man in question was never his employee. He was never his security officer. Singhal labeled the association as "entirely baseless" and warned the public against consuming misinformation. He wants people to ignore attempts to create a false impression.

The minister offered no details on the specific accusations brought by the woman. He remains confident in the process. Singhal expects an impartial investigation to uncover the truth behind the incident.
