Police investigate mysterious death of teen in Dhubri

Guwahati: Police found the body of 17-year-old Anuj Rai at the Srimanta Complex in Dhubri, Assam, on Sunday, October 25. The discovery occurred in the Panchmor area along GTB Road. Rai worked at a local momo shop operated by fellow natives of Darjeeling.

Nine people from Darjeeling lived together in the rented Srimanta Complex units. One roommate noted the strange behavior leading up to the incident. "Rai had locked him inside their room from the outside during the previous night before leaving," the roommate told reporters.

Authorities arrived on the scene to recover the body. They launched an investigation to pin down the cause of death and piece together the timeline of events. Investigators continue to gather evidence as the case moves forward.
