Agartala: Authorities are flooding the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple with 2,200 security personnel. The three-day Diwali festival runs from November 8 to 10 in the Gomati district. Officials expect crowd numbers to double compared to last year. Security teams include police, Tripura State Rifles, and plainclothes officers.

Gomati District Superintendent of Police Anirban Das confirmed the heavy presence. "Keeping the anticipated surge in visitors in mind, the district police have initiated comprehensive security preparations to ensure that the celebrations pass off peacefully and smoothly. We have tightened security, and around 2,200 security personnel will be deployed for the festival," Das said. These forces will patrol temple grounds and surrounding zones to keep the peace.

The Gomati District Magistrate has organized a massive drone show for the opening night on November 8. More than 500 drones will fill the sky with light formations. The police have created a special unit to track potential agitators and stop trouble before it starts. This ensures devotees can pray safely while visitors watch the show.
