Agartala: Tripura remains quiet. Director General of Police Anurag confirmed on July 18 that the state maintains law and order despite heightened security. Police are acting fast to stop potential trouble before it starts.

Officers are targeting sensitive locations with extra boots on the ground. They are keeping a close watch on any signs of unrest. "We have deployed police forces in all vulnerable locations and are carrying out regular patrolling to maintain peace," the DGP said.

The state is also teaming up with the Border Security Force to lock down the India-Bangladesh border. Joint patrols are running constantly to block illegal activity. The two agencies are working in lockstep to keep the frontier tight.

"In the border areas, the Police and BSF are working together effectively," Anurag noted. While the BSF handles infrastructure and frontier security, local police manage internal order. Both agencies remain on high alert to squash threats to public peace.
