Agartala: Security forces hauled in a massive drug shipment today. Police, the 81st Battalion of the Border Security Force, and the 11th Battalion of Tripura State Rifles raided Kamalnagar Krishnadola in the Sepahijala district early this morning. The joint operation kicked off at 12:30 am and wrapped up by 5 am.

Teams recovered 327.700 kg of dry cannabis hidden inside seven plastic drums. No one stepped forward to claim the stash. Police sources value the haul at roughly Rs 1 crore 63 lakh 85 thousand. Sepahijala district sits directly on the international border with Bangladesh.

Officers processed the haul through legal channels once the search concluded. Officials are now tracking the owners of the illicit supply. "Following the seizure, Sonamura Police Station initiated an investigation to identify the person or persons responsible for storing the contraband in the area," said police sources.
