Agartala: Agartala Municipal Corporation officials gathered Wednesday to map out plans for the coming Durga Puja festival. Mayor Dipak Majumder wants the city ready. His team is pushing to finish all ongoing infrastructure projects, specifically road repairs, before the holiday kicks off.

Civic services are the priority. The city is bolstering street lighting and cleaning operations to keep streets clear for residents and visitors. Extra workers will hit the streets in every ward to manage waste and maintenance. The Mayor wants hassle-free movement for those visiting pandals. He said, "importance is being given so that residents and visitors can enjoy the festivities in a comfortable and hassle-free environment."

Talks also touched on drainage systems and general road conditions. Beyond the immediate cleanup, the Corporation is organizing its Sharad Samman awards. That process should wrap up by October or early November. Deputy Mayor Manika Das Dutta and Commissioner Saju Wahid joined the Mayor alongside other corporators to finalize these preparations.
