Agartala: Agartala is bracing for the Durga Puja rush with a new traffic management plan. Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder walked the Old Motor Stand area on Thursday to plot out routes and crowd control strategies. The directive comes straight from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. City leaders want fewer jams this year.

The inspection team included Agartala Municipal Corporation Commissioner Saju Wahid and Corporator Ratna Dutta. They gathered with senior civic staff and traffic police to refine coordination. The goal is to keep roads open and moving during the height of the celebrations. Efficient streets mean faster trips to pandals and shopping zones.

Majumder wants a seamless experience for every citizen. He said, "This Puja, let every journey be a journey of comfort. Let Agartala rise as a city free from congestion." The initiative aims to aid families and keep emergency lanes clear throughout the festival.
