Agartala: Agartala's Kunjaban Sporting Union is building a Durga Puja pandal from lakhs of discarded glass pieces. Siliguri artist Tapas Paul designed the structure by fitting the glass into iron frames before lighting them up. Committee president Sukanta Bhattacharjee set the project budget at 40 lakh rupees. Paul believes in the beauty of transformation. He stated, "Like broken glass, shattered hopes can also be transformed into something meaningful and promising."
Nearby, the Aikatan Yuba Sangstha is rolling out a 10-minute 3D projection show. It features Goddess Durga fighting demons and Lord Shiva performing his cosmic dance.
