Agartala: Tripura will run a statewide measles and rubella vaccination campaign starting August 10. The drive lasts through August 25. The National Health Mission wants every eligible child covered.

State officials held an orientation meeting at the NHM Tripura office to lock down the plans. They focused on drafting local micro-plans and building lists of children. The state must be ready to manage Adverse Events Following Immunisation. Officials told staff, "ensure that no eligible child is left out and that the vaccination drive is completed within the scheduled timeframe."

Public awareness campaigns will run alongside the shots. The Health Department, Education Department, and Integrated Child Development Services are coordinating the effort. Local administrators are also on board. The goal is total coverage to wipe out both diseases. Senior staff from the health sector and local districts attended the review to guarantee success.
