Agartala: Tipra Motha Party leaders gathered on October 28 to assess the status of the Tiprasa Accord. They scrutinized progress on commitments made by the Central government and mapped out their next political moves. Attendees included MLA Ranjit Debbarma, TTAADC Chief Executive Member Runiel Debbarma, MLA Paul Dangshu, Minister of State Brishketu Debbarma, and former MDC Purna Chandra Jamatia.

The group also weighed whether to jump into the upcoming Urban Local Bodies elections. No decision emerged from the talks. Minister Brishketu Debbarma told reporters that the party needs to see an official election schedule before committing to the race.

Leadership focused on training elected representatives and securing specific rights and entitlements. They are currently evaluating how to push the Central government on its previous promises. "We are discussing when the promises made to us by the Central government will be fulfilled. We are also deliberating on our future strategy and training for our elected representatives," Debbarma said.

The party maintains a wait-and-see approach regarding the local polls. "We have just begun our discussions and cannot take a final decision today, as the elections have not yet been announced. Once the election schedule is declared, we will inform you about our decision," Debbarma stated. Further internal meetings will determine their final stance.
