Agartala: Tripura Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury launched a blistering attack on the Congress-JMM government in Jharkhand on Tuesday, August 11. Speaking at the Kushabhau Bhavan in Agartala, Chowdhury accused the Congress of playing a double game. He claimed the party uses students for political gain while ignoring legitimate grievances in states where they hold power.

Chowdhury declared that the BJP fully supports the Jharkhand student movement. Protesters there want a corruption-free administration and transparent recruitment. He blasted the Congress leadership for hypocrisy, saying, "Congress follows one policy in Delhi, another in Bengal, a different policy in Tripura, another in Jharkhand and yet another in Kerala."

The minister alleged that police used barbaric force against demonstrators in Ranchi. He stated that women were harassed during these clashes. He questioned why Tripura Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury traveled to Delhi but skipped a visit to the protest site in Jharkhand.

Chowdhury also targeted Rahul Gandhi for his silence on the Ranchi unrest. He claimed the alliance with JMM keeps Gandhi quiet. He challenged the Congress leader to pressure the Jharkhand government to meet student demands. The minister dismissed Congress complaints about the NEET-UG paper leak as political theater.

He contrasted the opposition's actions with the BJP's legislative moves to punish offenders. Chowdhury noted that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took responsibility for the exam system. He demanded the Congress-JMM coalition stop stalling and engage with the students immediately to prove their sincerity.
