Agartala: Tripura’s School Education Department just went live with an AI-powered inspection and assessment tool. The system tracks classroom performance and teacher accountability in real time. School Education Secretary Dr. Milind Ramteke guided the project. Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, who directs elementary and secondary education plus Samagra Shiksha, leads the rollout.

The platform plugs directly into the Vidya Samiksha Kendra. It feeds a digital dashboard for state, district, and block officials. All eight District Magistrates now have dashboard access to make administrative calls. The system identifies learning gaps that demand fast action. Education department sources noted the platform creates a strict framework for tracking how often and how well schools get inspected. "Officials believe the AI-driven system will transform academic supervision through evidence-based planning, continuous monitoring and timely corrective measures."

Management will reward high-performing staff. Those falling behind get mentoring. The department plans virtual training sessions for District Education Officers, MIS Coordinators, and NIPUN Coordinators to master the analytics. This follows June training for Block Resource Persons, Cluster Resource Persons, and school inspectors. Teachers now get data on student achievements to spot who needs extra help. If scores stay low, SCERT will step in with teacher training. The state aims to boost foundational learning and drive reforms across every government classroom.
