Agartala: The Tripura School Education Department has launched an AI-enabled Online School Inspection and Continuous Student Assessment System. This platform aims to boost accountability and teaching quality in government schools. It works through the Vidya Samiksha Kendra. The system provides a real-time dashboard for officials to track inspections and learning gaps.

Dr. Milind Ramteke, the School Education Secretary, guided the project. Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, the Director of Elementary and Secondary Education and State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, is leading its rollout. The project creates a transparent, evidence-based mechanism for administrators. Officials from the state, district, and block levels can now access live data to trigger quick interventions.

District Magistrates across all eight districts will hold dashboard access to support administrative decisions. The department scheduled a virtual training session for District Education Officers, MIS Coordinators, and NIPUN Coordinators. This follows June training for Block Resource Persons, Cluster Resource Persons, and Inspectors of Schools. These field workers now lead the implementation.

The system tracks how often and how well inspections occur. High performers will receive recognition. Officials falling short will get mentoring and counseling. A dedicated assessment module flags children needing extra help. If learning stays low over several cycles, the SCERT may order specific teacher training. Education officials believe the digital shift will create lasting reforms. As one official noted, the integration of technology with supervision will enable "continuous monitoring, evidence-based planning and timely corrective measures."
