Kohima: Patkai Christian College held its fourth graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 on July 21. The event took place at the Bundrock Chapel Auditorium in Chumoukedima. Attendees included college founder Rev. Dr. TA Shishak, staff, and families.
Dr. Kevezai Tureng, Director of the College Development Council at Nagaland University, delivered the commencement address. Tureng, an alumnus of the school, praised the college for being among the first in the state to earn autonomous status from the University Grants Commission. He reminded graduates to live by the motto, Light and Truth. Success requires character and honesty, not just degrees. He told the class, "Use artificial intelligence to help you think, but do not allow it to do all your thinking for you."
Principal Dr. Thepfuvilie Pieru congratulated the students on their academic milestone. Representing the graduates, Pekivi K. Kiho thanked the institution for its support. Undergraduate speaker Kangpila Anar described the college as a place for personal growth and friendship. Shangyaola Jajo received the Dr. Satuo Sekhose Memorial Academic Excellence Award. The ceremony also featured gold medal presentations and a performance by MSSM. College Chaplain Rev. Dr. Vichukho Ngukha opened the event, which concluded with the formal induction of graduates into the Alumni Association.
