Agartala: Tripura officials met Saturday to audit the state of government schooling. Education Secretary Dr. Milind Dharmrao Ramteke led the session. The meeting focused on NIPUN Tripura and core academic initiatives. They want better literacy and numeracy outcomes.
Director of School Education Dr. Samit Roy Choudhury and SCERT Director L. Darlong attended the high-level review. District Magistrates from all eight districts joined the discussion alongside District Education Officers and various senior staffers. They evaluated pre-primary education, Balvatika co-location, and Building as Learning Aid projects.
The group examined how schools monitor students and conduct inspections. A primary goal involves identifying slow learners for targeted academic support. Officials want to ensure these students get the help they need to succeed. They emphasized "strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy through targeted interventions, continuous monitoring and improved classroom practices."
Better coordination between the education department and district administrations is the new mandate. Everyone must work together now. The state aims to push these programs effectively across every government classroom.
