Agartala: The School Education Department launched a special inspection drive across Tripura this week. Officials want to see how government schools actually perform on the ground. Teams are checking teaching practices, student attendance, and overall classroom activities.
Inspectors hit several schools in the Mandai block on Wednesday. They scrutinized the implementation of state initiatives like Vidya Setu and NIPUN Tripura alongside pre-primary programs. They watched how teachers worked and how students responded. The department stated that the goal is to provide officials with a direct assessment of conditions in schools and identify issues related to teaching, learning, and the implementation of government programmes.
The sweep extended to administrative hubs. The team visited the District Education Officer's office in West Tripura and the Sadar Inspectorate to debate student outcomes and school management. They also audited the campuses of Vande Tripura, PM e-Vidya Tripura, and the Tele-Education Project. Production facilities and broadcast technology faced a thorough review, specifically aimed at reaching students in remote and rural areas.
Operations include the Interactive Virtual Classroom Project. This system uses GUMBI Software to connect a studio in Agartala with 240 government schools across all eight districts. The department says the two-way virtual classroom system is intended to improve access to quality education, particularly for students in remote and rural areas. Inspections will continue in the coming days to tighten up the learning environment for every student.
