Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha tackled public health and economic equity during recent public addresses in Agartala. On July 28, Saha gathered at Rabindra Satabarsiki Bhavan for World Hepatitis Day. He identified hepatitis as a persistent public health threat. He told the crowd that public awareness and early diagnosis remain the best tools for prevention. Saha urged residents to drop the social stigma tied to the disease and push for better medical care.
He wants a hepatitis-free state. This requires community action. Saha believes sustained campaigns can lead to a healthier society.
Separately, at Prajna Bhavan, the Chief Minister shifted focus to the state's minority communities. These groups make up nearly 16 percent of Tripura's population. He handed out loans to minority beneficiaries to boost their economic standing. Saha stated that the government follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" to drive holistic development.
The state aims to improve education and economic security. Officials including Minority Welfare Minister Shukla Charan Noatia and Special Secretary Nirmal Adhikari attended the event. The Chairman of the Minority Development Corporation was also there. Saha called for communal harmony. He wants mutual respect to build a stronger and more prosperous Tripura for everyone.
