Pregnant Mother and Daughter Critical After Assam Border Crash

Guwahati: A head-on crash left two people in critical condition. The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, near Lampi along the Assam-Meghalaya border. A Mahindra pick-up truck slammed into a scooter. The bike was traveling from Boko toward Lampi.

The impact threw Reema Lama and her minor daughter, Gracy Lama, off the hilly roadside. Authorities confirmed Reema Lama is pregnant. Medical teams provided emergency aid at the site before rushing both victims to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment.

Police from the Lampi outpost arrived quickly. They started the legal process to determine exactly how the wreck happened. Locals are watching the situation closely.
