Guwahati: A high-speed collision involving a car and two e-rickshaws left seven people hurt in Assam's Goalpara district on Sunday, September 20. Five victims remain in critical condition. The crash took place on the Paikan-Tura National Highway at Bakhiripara in the Kukurkata area. This location sits right along the Assam-Meghalaya border under the watch of the Krishnai Police Station.
A WagonR car, registration number ML-10B-5919, slammed into the two e-rickshaws. Medics rushed the injured to a nearby facility for treatment. Police are still working to piece together the events. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. Official sources noted, "Further details regarding the identities of those injured and the circumstances leading to the collision are awaited." The investigation remains ongoing as officers look for answers.
