Police Investigate Brutal Killing of Tripura Man

Agartala: Unidentified killers hacked Uttam Nama to death at his home in Kathalia Bhadra Bari, Tripura. The victim died inside his residence located within the Sepahijala district on July 14. Attackers used sharp weapons to repeatedly stab and slash Nama before fleeing the area. Neighbors found the scene at 9 am.

Police arrived from the Jatrapur Police Station to secure the site and start a murder investigation. Authorities suspect the culprits locked the house from the outside to delay discovery. Police said, "The attackers are suspected to have locked the house from the outside after the killing and fled."

Investigators are now checking the alibis of the victim's two sons: Utpal Nama, 25, and Chayan Nama, 22. Officers currently seek a motive and the identity of the suspects. The violent death sparked widespread fear throughout the local community.
