Agartala: Tripura Congress leaders traveled to New Delhi on October 10 to join a national protest against the BJP. They demanded the immediate arrest and resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The protesters accused the BJP of rigging elections through widespread irregularities. They also called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to step down over the alleged conspiracy.

TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha led the Tripura contingent alongside senior leader Rahul Gandhi. Saha remained defiant during the demonstration. "We strongly protest against these alleged illegal practices and demand the arrest of Gyanesh Kumar and his resignation from the post. We are also demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister," Saha said. He warned that the agitation would grow if officials ignore these demands.

Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman focused on the electoral roll process. He joined the "No SIR" campaign to protest the Special Intensive Revision of rolls. Barman questioned the neutrality of the Election Commission while accusing the BJP of silencing voters. "The people have understood how votes are being taken away through alleged manipulation. That is why the Congress is on the streets, fighting for the people," Barman added. The party plans to keep up the pressure until the government addresses these concerns.
