Mokokchung Restricts Traffic on Asetkong-Tsusangra Road for Bridge Repairs

Kohima: Mokokchung district officials locked down the Asetkong-Tsusangra road starting November 4. Crews are fixing the Longpong Bridge. The closure hits the 27-km chainage point.

Heavy trucks over 8 metric tonnes face a total ban until December 2. Smaller cars and light vehicles cannot pass the stretch from November 4 to 17. The Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung confirmed these dates in an order issued through the State DIPR.

Authorities expect patience from locals. The Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung urged the public to "cooperate with the administration and comply with the traffic regulations during the repair and restoration period." Follow the rules until the work ends.
