Kohima: Langpangkong Students' Conference and Langpangkong Tzukong Mungdang led a massive inspection of NH-02 on Monday. They scrutinized 75 km of highway from Mongsenyimti to Tzusangra Bridge. Local Road Coordination Committees joined the walkthrough alongside district officials and NPWD Mokokchung representatives. Contractors from Avantika, KKB Rulho, and Nitin Sai Construction Company stood present during the review.

The group zeroed in on shoddy construction and persistent landslide risks. These stretches frequently cut off the Langpangkong range. The team scrutinized finished works for engineering failures. They demanded strict adherence to official specifications. The inspection underscored the need for better drainage, alternative road alignments, and tougher protective structures. Contractors explained the local challenges while promising repairs.

District officials pledged to enforce corrective actions. The organizations maintained pressure for accountability throughout the process. "NH-02 was a crucial lifeline for the region," the stakeholders noted regarding the project's importance. Everyone involved agreed to keep watching the site. They aim to boost the durability of this vital transport corridor through consistent oversight.
