Mokokchung Diverts Heavy Traffic for Football Tournament

Kohima: Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma ordered all heavy vehicles off the Mokokchung-Ungma-Tuensang Road. This diversion affects NH-202 traffic starting October 12. Trucks must use the Mokokchung-Chare Road bypass instead. The restriction lasts until October 29.

Officials enacted the order to manage crowds and vehicles during the 25th Dr T Ao Inter District Football Trophy. The move aims to protect the public. Traffic must flow smoothly during the matches. Verma warned drivers to obey the new rules. "The DC directed all transport operators and heavy vehicle drivers to strictly comply with the diversion order."

Local authorities expect full cooperation from the public. Everyone must follow these guidelines. The tournament requires clear streets. The diversion stays in effect for the duration of the games.
