Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Khemchand Yumnam met a delegation from the Manipur University Department of Korean Language on July 27. The meeting focused on expanding cultural and educational bonds between the state and the Republic of Korea. They want growth. Yumnam praised the students for landing jobs at global firms after studying the language.
The discussion highlighted how foreign language education creates real opportunities. Yumnam shared his thoughts on social media. "Called on by a delegation from the Department of Korean Language, Manipur University, at the Secretariat today. Glad to know many students have secured placements in global companies," he posted on X.
Looking ahead, the Republic of Korea's Ambassador to India plans a trip to the region in September 2026. Officials expect this visit to solidify future collaboration. Both parties hope for deeper engagement between the two cultures.
