Imphal: The NSCN/GPRN is calling out New Delhi for hypocrisy. The group claims India preaches peaceful diplomacy on the world stage while ignoring its own backyard. The Ministry of Information and Publicity issued a scorching statement on September 16 from Hebron and Ukhrul. They argue that India’s rhetoric at the 2026 New Delhi BRICS summit conflicts with its domestic record. The summit declaration vows to support sovereign equality and dialogue. Yet, the 2015 Framework Agreement sits in cold storage.
Naga leadership feels betrayed. The 2015 deal once promised to respect their unique history. Now, it remains effectively frozen. The organization demands that India fix this contradiction. "Peaceful dialogue requires two honest parties," the group stated. They insist that New Delhi cannot push for international peace while stalling on local political settlements.
The accusations go deeper than just stalled talks. The NSCN/GPRN alleges that the Indian security establishment is using Kuki militant groups as proxies in Manipur. They claim these forces receive military and logistical backing to suppress Naga communities. Allegations focus on support for the KNA and cooperation with KNA(B) along the Myanmar border. These claims suggest a shift toward militarization and ethnic strife.
Talks have dragged on since 1997. The Naga leadership warns that patience is wearing thin. Sustained coercion might kill the entire peace process. The group issued a final, biting challenge to the Indian government: "End colonialism in ALL its forms—including your own."
