Imphal: Wing Commander M. Sandeep cut the ribbon on the first NCC Air Squadron in Kakching district today. The unit sits at Iramdam Maheikol school in Langmeidong Maning Makha Leikai. It operates under the 1-Manipur Air Squadron NCC based in Imphal.
Sandeep oversees the 1-Manipur Air Squadron. He told the crowd that cadets learn grit. He expects the new post to push enrollment numbers higher. "Joining the NCC would benefit students in their future," Sandeep said. He pledged ongoing support to the IMA troop.
Iramdam Maheikol Principal Longjam Tiken praised the addition. He pushed his students to join the ranks and stay active. The ceremony featured cultural displays including Kabui, Mao, and solo dance performances.
Local officials attended the event to mark the start. Director of Education Ng. Bhogendro showed up. Dr. Okram Jotin and the officer in charge of Waikhong Police Station joined staff from the 1-Manipur Air Squadron NCC to watch the proceedings.
