AMSU Launches Academic Drive in Kakching Schools

Imphal: All Manipur Students Union members fanned out across Kakching district today. They held an academic campaign leading up to the 61st Hunger Marchers Day 2026. Huidrom Punshiba, the organization secretary, headed the effort alongside the AMSU Kakching District Committee president and staff.

The team visited Unique Academy, Iramdam Maheikol, Langmeidong, and Merciful English School in Sekmaijing. Punshiba took the floor to speak with students. He pushed them to recognize their duty in tackling modern social friction. He warned them to stay sharp regarding their collective future.

The group zeroed in on the National Register of Citizens. Punshiba insisted on one specific priority for the state. He told the assembly, "the importance of updating the National Register of Citizens (NRC) before the Census" remains a top concern for the union. He wants the student body to grasp the impact of these policies on their lives.
