Imphal: Pherzawl district is deep into the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Local schools hosted essay and painting contests to push the India of Dreams Art Seva initiative. Students at Parbung Government High School, Pherzawl Government High School, and Sibapurikhal Government High School joined the competition. Joutung Upper Primary School, DR Thuoma Government High School, Patpuihmun, and C. Zalen Primary School also held events.
The Zonal Education Officer and the District Administration ran the show. They wanted to link classroom creativity with the campaign goals. Teachers and students showed up to work. The work was meant to connect young learners with the broader objectives of the campaign.
The Pherzawl Forest Division also shifted gears toward conservation. They teamed up with the District Administration and Parbung Mission Society School to distribute saplings. Everyone grabbed a shovel for a ceremonial plantation drive at the PMS School campus. According to organizers, the initiative was aimed at "strengthening environmental awareness among students and encouraging greater community participation in the protection and conservation of the environment." Kids and staff planted trees across the school grounds to round out the day.
