Guwahati: An unidentified man died after he touched a high-voltage overhead wire at Jogighopa railway station in Assam. The man climbed onto a goods train engine while the Kolkata-Sairang Express, numbered 13125, sat at the station headed toward Guwahati.
Railway staff spotted the man near the lethal electrical wires. They called the railway police. Officers pulled him off the train and raced him to Bongaigaon Civil Hospital. He died there shortly after initial care. Officials confirmed, "The deceased has not yet been identified and his body has been kept at the morgue of Bongaigaon Civil Hospital."
Investigators believe the victim was roughly 30 years old. He wore a T-shirt and jeans. Police are still digging for clues to explain why he was on top of the engine. They have yet to name him.
