Guwahati: A clandestine prostitution ring is allegedly operating out of the Unique Spa and Parlour in Hailakandi town. Locals claim the business lures young women from outside the district to staff the operation. The public is now pressuring the district administration and local police to explain how these activities persisted for so long.
This is not the first time a business in town has faced such accusations. Authorities previously shuttered an establishment called Bright Spa and Parlour after explicit videos from the site spread across social media. Critics now claim the owners simply rebranded the business to continue their work at the new location.
Hussain Ahmed, the Hailakandi district president of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad, wants answers. He demanded a thorough investigation and strict penalties for those involved. "Hussain Ahmed, has demanded a thorough investigation into the allegations and strict action against those found involved," the report stated. State officials remain silent on the matter for now.
