Kohima: Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem arrived in Kidima Village on July 15 to secure local backing for the national census. He led a team including EAC Sadar Dr. Riku Khutso and Charge Officer Zerutso Kesiezie. They met with the Village Council, Gaon Buras, and various community organizations to discuss the ongoing House-listing and Housing Census operations.

Buchem praised the village’s track record of self-sufficiency. He told the gathered leaders that Kidima Village has never been a burden on the district administration. The official urged the group to support census enumerators to guarantee a smooth, accurate count.

Kidima Village Council chairman expressed appreciation for the visit. He noted that over 15 years had passed since a Kohima Deputy Commissioner last stepped foot in the village.
