Kohima DC Visits Kidima Village for First Time in 15 Years

Kohima: Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer for Kohima, B Henok Buchem, traveled to Kidima Village on July 15. He went to inspect the House-listing and Housing Census operations currently underway. It was a long time coming. The official delegation included EAC Sadar Dr Riku Khutso and Charge Officer Zerutso Kesiezie, alongside a team of census supervisors and enumerators.

This trip marked a rare moment for the local community. The Chairman of the Kidima Village Council thanked Buchem for the visit, noting that "it had been more than 15 years since a Deputy Commissioner of Kohima last visited the village." The officials met with local leaders, including Gaon Buras, church representatives, and members of women and youth organizations.

Buchem praised the village leadership for their self-reliance, stating that the community has never been a burden on the district administration. He pushed the village representatives to give the census workers their full support. Clear data matters. The team intends to ensure the successful completion of all ongoing census tasks in the Kezocha Census Charge.
