Kohima: Nagaland Census Operations Director Dr. Kenei Miachieo met with Kohima Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer B. Henok Buchem on July 29. The meeting took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s office to evaluate the ongoing local Census work.
Charge officers attended the session. Dr. Miachieo expressed faith in the team, stating that competent and committed staff guarantee accurate data. He noted that Nagaland residents cooperate fully when officials explain the purpose behind the work. Government servants must focus on the task at hand. "The quality of the Census depends on the dedication and collective efforts of every official involved," he said.
Current data figures match expectations. Charge officers now face the heavy lifting of scrutinizing and analyzing the incoming information. Dr. Miachieo singled out Deputy Commissioner Buchem for specific praise regarding district initiatives. The establishment of a dedicated helpline to handle grievances has streamlined operations for both the public and staff. These proactive measures from the district administration have reduced the workload for the Directorate and ensured the exercise runs smoothly.
