Nagaland Contractors and Legislative Committee Announce October Meetings

Kohima: The Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union is forcing a showdown over decade-old debt. Officials called a meeting for October 13 to tackle unpaid bills linked to the 15.385-kilometer Patkai-Medziphema four-lane road project. The session starts at 12:00 noon at the NCSU Conference Hall in Kohima.

NCSU vice president Hoshito Assumi wants every joint venture shareholder in the room. They need to coordinate a path toward payment after years of silence. "All JV shareholders have been requested to attend the meeting without fail and extend their cooperation for a meaningful discussion and resolution of the matter."

Meanwhile, the state government is moving on a separate track. The Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Estimates scheduled an adoption and oral evidence meeting with various departments. This gathering kicks off October 6 at 11:00 AM. It will take place inside the C. Chongshen Committee Room at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat in Kohima. Committee Chairperson Kuzholuzo Nienu expects full attendance from all members.

The council directed all CEC members and regional presidents to appear for the session to hash out pressing national issues. Organizers told the leadership to bring constructive agendas to the table.
